The surgeons at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center use “bloodless” surgery and blood conservation – a combination of surgical methods, dietary measures and other techniques that help minimize blood loss. Using state-of-the-art equipment and technology, we can perform a full range of procedures – from appendectomies to heart surgeries – without a transfusion. We can use a bloodless approach for most surgeries, depending on the procedure, your condition and other factors.
